The video for Swedish oddities The Sound of Arrows' new track 'Into The Clouds' conjures up memories of one of my favoruite childhood films, 'The Neverending Story'.Along with 'Labyrinth', 'The Neverending Story' was probably the most frequently rented video in our household (back in the days of VHS when there was nary a tanning booth in sight at Chartbusters).
The Sound of Arrows' video mimics the aesthetic of eighties' films of this genre and The Neverending Story has even been given pride of place in their top Myspace friends, alongside the ever-brilliant Neon Gold, with whom the band will be releasing their album later this year.
I'm not quite as taken with the song as I am with the visual accompaniment but their track 'M.A.G.I.C.' is surely a global smash-in-waiting.
