Emerald Warriors

It's no secret that I am an embarrassingly avid Marina & The Diamonds fan and, as such, I'm delighted that Eimear and I have been given the chance to DJ at next Thursday's Listen | Love, which is serving as an album launch of sorts for her debut album, 'The Family Jewels'.

If you fancy hearing the album in full, a day before it officially hits the shops, as well as busting a move to tunes provided by DJs from Super Super Disco, C U Next Tuesday, Áit Ait and Come As Soon As You Hear, I suggest you haul your ass down to Tripod on the 18th.

Rumours abound that Ms. Diamandis will be making her own contribution to the celebrations but your guess is as good as mine as to what this might entail exactly.

In the meantime, I'd like to bagsy this Monsieur Adi Remix of 'Obsessions' before any of the other DJs get their filthy mitts on it.

Run To The Hills

We already have a video for the radio-edit of Marina and the Diamonds' 'Hollywood' , and one for the stripped down 'acoustic' version, but this new one to accompany the Gonzales mix is probably pick of the bunch.



I've had a sneak preview of Marina's imminent debut album 'The Family Jewels' and it's a superlative-inducing masterpiece.

'Hollywood' is out next week.

Family Affairs

Apologies for being something of a Marinaphile but I just stumbled across the cover art and track-listing for 'The Family Jewels'.

It's a shame that 'Jealousy' didn't make the cut but there's a couple of new tracks on there like 'Rootless' and opener 'Are You Satisfied?' that I'm eager to hear.

How It Started, How It Ends

Marina and the Diamonds has confirmed that her forthcoming album, The Family Jewels, won't be hitting shelves until early 2010. Obviously, I'd love to hear it sooner than that but I'm sure she and her team know what they're doing and are busy brewing up some killer tracks to add to her arsenal.

Earlier this week, she sent out a preview of a new track 'Numb'. At first, I was a little put off by the rawness but, after getting past the poor quality of the recording, I can definitely hear another anthem-in-the-making:
